Z-RAM support identifies the original barrel of the NxWerks Pistelle X-68 as aluminum, not steel. The Z-RAM STEEL barrel is a separate replacement offer; it is not a description of the barrel already supplied with the launcher.
STEEL and ALU are separate replacement choices
The STEEL complete set specifies coated stainless steel. The separate ALU complete set specifies anodized aluminum. These are different material offers, not two names for the same steel barrel.
The ALU set is sold as a Z-RAM tuning-barrel set. Its aluminum material does not make it the original barrel supplied with the launcher.
What the two replacement sets have in common
Both current descriptions list a 22x1.5 thread and an inner diameter of .684, approximately 17.38 mm. That is the barrel's bore specification—not a blanket compatibility statement for every projectile labeled .68.
Each set lists a barrel, a thread cover and a 10 cm extension.
