This edition preserves the original prototype results, expectations and October 2022 preorder offer in their historical context.
A new chamber extension for the Umarex HDR50/TR50
Hello, everyone, and welcome to Z-RAM. Today there is a really cool upgrade to show: this is the HDR50, and, as you can see, a part protrudes from the back. It is a chamber extension that increases the space in the chamber, giving more air for the shot.
Z-RAM has just finished this final prototype and has not tested it yet; the test is happening live here together with the viewers. The capsule has just been inserted and pressed. As you can see, the pin is protruding, which means it is armed now. If that is not a game changer! There is nothing like this for the HDR50 yet.
It can be preordered from Z-RAM now and will arrive in mid-October 2022. When the Z.50 projectiles are delivered, this part will also be included in the delivery, so it can still be preordered now. Anyone who has already preordered Z.50 projectiles and now wants to preorder this part can place the order and email Z-RAM. Z-RAM or a colleague will simply refund one shipping charge so the orders are delivered together and shipping is paid only once.

Prototype material and chamber volume
Now the whole thing will be tested on the chronograph. Z-RAM will make a separate video about its installation. As you can see, the result is relatively clean. It still looks stylish; Z-RAM thinks it looks even more stylish. This prototype is brass, but the part ordered will be made of burnished steel, which is a bit more stable and a little safer overall.
Now it is time to go to the chronograph, test the whole thing and see what results it brings. Z-RAM has not tested it yet, so this is a premiere for Z-RAM too. Expectations are high because it doubles the chamber space: about twice the room. A really cool feature is that, if HP and a long barrel are also used, another one can be screwed on here.
The part doubles the chamber space; a second part triples it, and so on: 1×, 2×, 3×, and onward. The power can be increased. Of course, there will be a limit at some point, but where that is will become clear.
Devastators and the first comparison tests
As mentioned, this is the first test, the premiere, with the whole thing checked on the chronograph. Since Z-RAM does not have many Z.50 projectiles left, the tests will use only Devastators. They have a similar weight to the Z.50 projectiles, and more of them are available. This is quicker than continually pulling the Z.50 projectiles out of the box. The next caption fragment is “of the extension and the tuning kit”; its opening is unclear. Then there will be a test with the long barrel, followed by the same test again without the extension, for a direct comparison. Z-RAM now loads the drum.
Z-RAM is loading the drum now. The weapon is now armed, and six shots follow. The magazine is now empty.
Z-RAM now fits the long barrel and inserts a fresh capsule. Here is the same setup, again with Devastators, the long barrel, the barrel extension and a Z-Extension. It is armed, and now the test begins.
Z-RAM now removes the Z-Extension, and the same test follows again. The Z-Extension has now been removed, so it looks like this again. There is a full magazine of Devastators; as mentioned, their weight is similar to that of the Z.50 projectiles. This is with the short barrel and without the extension. It is armed, so the test begins.
There has already been a good increase. Now Z-RAM tests the long barrel again so there is a comparison for that as well: the long barrel without the extension, Devastators and a fresh capsule. The maximum was now 300 FPS; with the Z-Extension, it was 350 FPS. That is the good thing.
The 50 FPS difference and the PowerPin comparison
As you could see, the Z-Extension made a difference of 50 FPS with the Devastator. The Z.50 projectiles weigh about the same as the Devastator and would probably produce similar results. “But you see this form, that's really not funny”: the reference in this final remark is unclear in the captions.
This is the Z-Extension. As shown, it is not really difficult to install. The cap can easily be removed here without opening the case. Z-RAM can remove the cap now, screw the extension back on and put the cap back on. Another one can also be added. The longer the barrel, the more air flows through here and the more energy there is.
The way this works differs from the PowerPin. The pin was already installed here, in both tests in particular. The pin increases the chamber space only minimally. It opens the valve a little earlier and closes it a little later, so it also generates a little more energy. This is a completely different system: here the chamber space is doubled. Each additional Z-Extension screwed on increases the volume in the chamber.
With this setup and the simple barrel extension, one Z-Extension may probably be enough to reach the maximum. Z-RAM could not test that now because only one sample is available, but is sure some viewers will test it. Z-RAM will also make a video about it when the parts are delivered.
Production version and the original preorder offer
Currently, as mentioned, this is only the prototype. The final version will have a little more space inside because Z-RAM could not make the part referred to as “the turn” as thin as the manufacturer can; that component term is unclear in the captions. It will not be a huge difference. In any case, the final version will probably deliver slightly better results than this prototype.
It can be preordered now. At the time this video is uploaded, it can be preordered with a discount. That discount ends as soon as the first batch arrives at Z-RAM's doorstep. It then has to be offered at the normal price again, but until then there is an opportunity to order it at a discounted price.
As mentioned, like the Z.50 projectiles, these can currently be preordered at a discount. Both would then arrive at the same time and be delivered to customers together. Again, anyone who has already preordered Z.50 projectiles can preorder this now and email Z-RAM with the Z.50 order number; Z-RAM will then refund the shipping costs. Choose the same shipping method used for the Z.50 order, and Z-RAM will combine the orders and refund the shipping costs. That is it.
Feedback and farewell
Z-RAM thinks it is very cool and works very well here, and is curious to hear what viewers think. Write your opinion in the comments. Z-RAM looks forward to its arrival and being able to deliver it, and to hearing opinions once customers have received their packages, whether they like it or do not like it. In any case, Z-RAM is really looking forward to those opinions.
Now it is time for Z-RAM to say goodbye. Please leave a thumbs-up and subscribe. Please share the video; it helps Z-RAM. Have a nice day, and until next time.
