In Z-RAM's older FSC CO₂ comparison, the presenter reports 51 Joules without the Z-Extension and 67 Joules with the Z-Extension and chamber adapter. Those reported totals differ by 16 Joules. The useful result is that observed change in the filmed arrangement—not 67 additional Joules or a universal 16-Joule gain.
The test retained a recognizable starting configuration
The presentation identifies a Z-MAG with a 20g CO₂ capsule, a 7-inch barrel and Z.68s projectiles. The presenter says the magazine remains in use for the second condition because the same projectile type is still being used. That context makes the comparison more informative than two isolated energy headlines.
It also matters that the starting condition was already reported at 51 Joules. This was not a comparison against an untouched factory marker. The result should be described as the change from that existing configuration, rather than applied to a factory-energy figure from another product listing.
The first condition is reported at 342 FPS. The 51- and 67-Joule figures are the presenter’s reported results; the short presentation does not establish averages of complete comparable shot strings.
What the extension's volume benefit explains
The current descriptions identify the Z-Extension's function as increased chamber volume. At a general level, that can change how much gas is available during the shot cycle. The older demonstration gives a concrete reported example of a performance-related effect from an extended chamber arrangement.
Available volume is not the same thing as a pressure setting. Gas supply, temperature, valve behavior, transfer path, seals and projectile travel interact with it. The comparison is therefore useful evidence for the arrangement shown, without proving how every later chamber design or different gas system will behave.
How the current kit claims differ from the filmed result
Today's Z-Extension-and-adapter offer is labelled +15–25 J. The separate offer that also includes a Power-Pin is labelled +20–30 J. Those are advertised gain ranges for the named offers. They are not the two conditions measured in this older CO₂ clip, and their difference does not isolate a measured Power-Pin contribution.
The related Power-Pin result video makes that distinction practical: it reports different average FPS gains for different barrel examples. Its HPA test is separate from the CO₂ chamber comparison. The figures from these two experiments cannot be combined into a new predicted energy total.
The current offers below identify the relevant product family, while the actual test answers the narrower question. Z-RAM reported 51 to 67 Joules when comparing the stated older configuration without and with the extension arrangement. That observation concerns gas-volume behavior, not a claim that replacing aluminum with steel alone produced the increase. It is also not a test of the later ASA Extra Long chamber.

Z-RAM Z-Extension + Adapter Kit for FSC TCP T8.1 T9.1 | Massive Chamber Upgrade | Max Performance Setup +15-25j.
The current Z-Extension-and-adapter offer is labelled +15–25 J and describes increased chamber volume for FSC, TCP and T8.1/T9.1. Its advertised range is separate from the older comparison's reported 16-Joule difference.

Z-RAM Z-Extension + Power-Pin + Adapter Kit for FSC TCP T8.1 T9.1 | Massive Chamber Upgrade | Max Performance Setup +20-30j.
The separate kit including a Power-Pin is advertised at +20–30 J. It identifies an additional functional component, but the older CO₂ film does not independently measure this current bundle or its Power-Pin contribution.
