Z-RAM New Version Red Dot for Umarex T4E: No Laser and Rail Fit

The New Version Red Dot keeps its aiming mark inside the optic. Its clamp needs a suitable Picatinny rail, and an added rail must match the actual marker.

Z-RAM New Version Red Dot Sight without laser

The Z-RAM New Version Red Dot is an optical sight, not a laser sight: its aiming mark is seen through the optic rather than projected onto the target. Its 1x specification means no magnification. For mounting on an Umarex T4E marker, the deciding requirement is a suitable 20/22 mm Picatinny rail—not the marker name alone.

Two matches are needed: optic to rail, then rail to marker

The sight's clamp and the rail fitted to the marker are separate parts of the fit question. A suitable rail gives the optic its mounting interface. If the marker needs an added rail, that rail must also be made for the actual marker and, where specified, its generation.

This is why a model list in a sight title does not mean that every listed marker already has the required rail. The New Version Red Dot offer is the optic set; a model-specific rail is a separate offer when needed.

Compare the rail by the marker it attaches to

The HDS68/HDX68 Picatinny rail is described for the original upper sections of those Umarex models. Its listing identifies a 3D-printed plastic rail with two screws for 20 mm red-dot or reflex optics. That product-specific fit statement should not be extended to another marker because it also accepts a Picatinny optic.

For HDP50/TP50, the dedicated Gen1/Gen2 rail is a different choice. Its listing names both generations and includes two screws and two nuts. These two rail offers illustrate the same distinction: a common optic interface does not make their marker-side shapes interchangeable.

What the optic's specifications tell you

The New Version sight lists four reticle choices: Circle Dot, Cross, 10 MOA and 3 MOA. Changing that displayed reticle does not turn it into a projected laser. Likewise, 1x does not mean a zoom setting: the sight is listed without magnification.

The listed set contains the sight, a CR2032 3V battery, a lens cover, an Allen wrench, a cleaning cloth and an operation manual. This lets you distinguish the included optic accessories from a separately selected marker rail. The specifications describe the product; they do not guarantee accuracy or establish legal permission in a particular country.
