Z-RAM 0.2 L HPA Bottle: Can a Workshop Compressor Fill It?

Choose an appropriate high-pressure air source before looking for a hose or adapter. Compare the bare 0.2 L bottle with the bottle-and-regulator offer and keep the exact connection question separate.

A normal workshop compressor is not a suitable filling source for the Z-RAM 0.2 L HPA bottle. Z-RAM support points instead to a purpose-built PCP/HPA compressor, a high-pressure hand pump, a suitable high-pressure tank filling station, or a provider that fills airgun or paintball bottles. Choosing the right source comes before choosing a connector.

Why ordinary workshop air is different

The distinction is pressure capability, not simply whether a machine compresses air. In its explanation of PCP filling equipment, Umarex describes typical shop or garage compressors as roughly 120–150 PSI machines. They serve a different purpose from the high-pressure equipment needed for PCP and HPA cylinders.

The Z-RAM bottle discussed here is listed for HPA, not CO₂, with a maximum rating of 200 bar / 3000 PSI. That maximum is a limit for this bottle, not permission to connect any compressor carrying a higher number. The bottle-and-regulator listing also specifies a certified air source.

What connection do you need?

The compressor answer does not establish an exact hose or connector: the actual filling equipment and regulator have not been identified. A fitting that physically joins two parts would not make an unsuitable compressor an HPA source.

Before buying filling hardware, identify the bottle, the regulator actually fitted to it and the proposed filling source. Ask the equipment supplier or filling provider to confirm that specific combination. If you plan to use a local filling service, confirm that it accepts your bottle and ask about availability and charges before buying equipment around that assumption.

Bottle only or bottle with a regulator?

The 0.2 L HPA bottle-only offer supplies one bottle without a regulator. Its capacity does not tell you which regulator or filling connection you already have.

The separate 0.2 L bottle with an 800 PSI regulator supplies both components. This is the relevant offer to compare when deciding whether you need the regulator included; it is not another part to buy on top of the bottle-only option. The 800 PSI label identifies the supplied regulator, not a recommendation for an unspecified marker.

Neither offer supplies a compressor or a filling station. Keep those two purchase decisions separate: what bottle hardware you are ordering, and where its compatible high-pressure air supply will come from.
