For a .68-caliber barrel, look for a cleaning tool explicitly labeled for .68. The Single Swab sold by Z-RAM is one such option: an absorbent barrel swab rather than a bristle brush. Matching the caliber is the starting point; choosing the tool's length and construction is a separate decision.
Caliber is not the tool's overall length
The .68 designation identifies the caliber the cleaning tool is intended for. A length such as 40 cm describes the whole tool from end to end. It does not mean that your barrel must be 40 cm long, or that the full 40 cm is usable cleaning reach.
For example, compare the Single Swab with Umarex's Cleaning Squeegee 68, item 2.4564. Umarex specifies its tool for T4E .68 equipment.
| Tool | Caliber label | Overall length |
|---|---|---|
| Single Swab | .68 | 40 cm |
| Umarex 2.4564 squeegee | .68 | 710 mm (71 cm) |
Both carry a .68 designation, yet they differ in overall length. The caliber label therefore does not prescribe a single tool length. The remaining question is whether a tool's form and usable reach suit the cleaning access described in your particular marker's instructions—not simply which product is longer.
Swabs and squeegees are different tool designs
The Single Swab has an absorbent head. Umarex's squeegee instead has cleaning discs and a holder for barrel-cleaning cloths. An absorbent head and a disc are different cleaning elements, even when the tools are intended for the same caliber.
So a product described as a .68 barrel cleaner need not be a bristle brush. Read the cleaning-head description alongside the caliber label: one identifies the working element, while the other identifies the intended bore size.
Rigid or folding matters when choosing what to carry
The Single Swab is rigid and does not fold. Its 40 cm overall length therefore also matters when choosing a bag or case. A caliber label answers which bore size the tool is intended for; it does not tell you how compact the tool will be to carry. For this product, plan storage around its full length.
If a rigid, absorbent tool is what you need, the Single Swab's product details give you the .68 option compared here.
