You do not need a barrel cover just to carry a spare magazine on a NxWerks Pistelle X-68: Z-RAM’s 11 mm holder is listed for the marker’s original rail. The 21 mm holder is the version intended for the rail on Z-RAM’s barrel cover. Choose around the attachment point you actually have, not simply the shared Pistelle X-68 name.
One accessory carries the magazine and provides a grip
Both holders combine a place for a spare magazine with a vertical-foregrip function. The magazine stays with the marker instead of being a separate item to carry in a pocket or bag. The holder is storage for that spare; it is not an additional feeding magazine or an increase in the capacity of the magazine currently in use.
The product descriptions list support for the standard magazine and the Z-RAM Mag-Extension. That statement describes which magazine arrangements the holder can carry. It does not make a magazine extension necessary: keeping the standard magazine is an explicitly listed option.
The original rail and the cover rail are different purchase paths
The 11 mm offer is described for the original Pistelle X-68 rail. If that is the attachment point you want to use, the holder’s description does not make a replacement barrel or barrel cover a prerequisite.
The 21 mm offer is specifically described for the rail on Z-RAM’s barrel cover. The separate three-rail cover adds Picatinny attachment points around the front exterior, but it fits only the matching Z-RAM tuning barrel—not the factory barrel. Buying the 21 mm holder therefore is not the same choice as buying a holder for the unaltered original rail.
Use the 11 mm and 21 mm wording to identify these exact offers. It is not a reason to treat different rail widths as interchangeable or to assume that any accessory described as “Picatinny” will fit both.
Think about the space occupied, not only the rail label
A combined holder and grip puts two functions in the same accessory. That can keep the exterior simpler than planning separate storage and grip parts, but you still need room for the carried magazine and your hand. Before choosing it, consider whether you want that combined arrangement or prefer to keep the front gripping area clear.
The three-rail cover offers more attachment positions; it does not guarantee clearance for every combination of accessories. The listings do not give holder dimensions or a hand-clearance measurement. For a crowded layout, a photograph of the existing front end is a more useful question for Z-RAM than assuming that three rails mean three unrestricted accessory spaces.
Keep the holder and cover requirements separate
The holders are described as MJF polymer, while the three-rail cover is FDM-printed PLA. They are separate components with separate roles, not one interchangeable molded piece. The cover description also excludes high-temperature environments.
The listings name Pistelle X-68 and IntruBuster Gen1. Z-RAM’s owner clarification for the 21 mm holder explicitly says not to transfer that fit automatically to IntruBuster Gen2.
