What the Tec9 holder changes in everyday use
The Tec9 holder clip describes three spare HDR50 drums retained in the holder, ready to be removed individually. The original ZDR50 takes a different exterior approach
Z-RAM's original ZDR50 presentation centers on concealing the Z-Extension and choosing the appearance of the housing and handle. The Black Body Kit is a two-part, 3D-printed PLA housing. Its current handle options are Dark Brown, Red-Brown and Black, so the black housing does not mean that every part of the grip must also be black.
Its delivery list includes the two-part body, one drum, the two-part handle with screws, ten 2×6 mm handle screws and a punch button. That supplied drum is different from Tec9 Full's holder for spare drums. A matching ZDR50 barrel cover is offered separately; it is not in this body kit's delivery list.
Concealing a Z-Extension should not be read as an exclusive ZDR50 feature. The Tec9 housing family also includes room for a supported Z-Extension arrangement. The more useful comparison here is what surrounds that housing: Tec9 Full's holder and included cover, or the original ZDR50's grip-led appearance and separately selected cover.
Compare the package before choosing the finish
For Tec9 Full, the existing HDR50/TR50 provides the base marker and internals; the product specifically supports the original Umarex valve and trigger unit. Its current product choices distinguish Gen1 and Gen2. For the original ZDR50, the listing requires the HDR50 internals, housing screws and the aluminum driver from the original drum. Its handle-color options are appearance choices, not generation choices; do not assume they confirm a particular generation.
If your priority is having spare-drum storage and a matching front cover in the same exterior package, compare Tec9 Full first. If the original ZDR50 body-and-grip design is what you want, plan its separately offered cover only if you need it.
