The original Z-RAM ZDR50 is the body kit introduced around Umarex HDR50/TR50 internals, with the Z-Extension hidden inside the exterior. ZDR50v2 is a separate housing design identified with the EX25 valve and HDR50/TR50 parts. Both names can appear on black housings, so the full product name and its stated component context identify the version more reliably than color.
The original housing: a change in appearance
Z-RAM's first-case introduction below explains the original ZDR50's concealed-extension appearance and color choices. The presenter says the first version had been silver and introduces black as an additional color. The discussion then turns to different brown grip colors and possible black grips.
That sequence is useful when identifying an older photograph: a black ZDR50 is not automatically ZDR50v2. Black already appears in the original housing introduction. The current original ZDR50 Black Body Kit listing describes a 3D-printed PLA housing; PLA is the stated material for that offer.
What the EX25 reference tells you about v2
The current ZDR50v2 body-kit title and description explicitly name EX25. Z-RAM's separate EX25 introduction also identifies ZDR50v2 as one of its housing contexts. Together, those references distinguish the v2 design from the original ZDR50 without treating every similar-looking housing as the same part.
The EX25 is not included in the standalone ZDR50v2 body-kit contents. The listing names it separately, alongside the required HDR50 parts. A video introducing a valve-and-case setup can therefore show a broader product context than the contents of the housing offer beneath it.
ZDR50 and ZDR50v2 are Z-RAM product-line names, not stock Umarex model names. Likewise, v2 in the body-kit name does not mean TR50 Gen2. Keep the housing version separate from the base marker's model and generation.
Compare the actual housing packages
Both black body-kit offers list a two-part housing, one drum, one handle and ten 2×6 mm screws. The original ZDR50 list additionally names a punch button and describes its handle as two parts with screws. The v2 list does not name a punch button.
Those differences help identify what is being offered without reading a fully assembled product photograph as a delivery list. The original listing expressly excludes a complete HDR50; the v2 listing separately calls for EX25 and HDR50 parts. Each card below is a housing offer, not a complete marker.
The material statements also stay attached to the individual offer. The original listing explicitly names PLA. The selected v2 description does not specify a housing material, so the original product's PLA statement should not be carried across merely because both belong to the ZDR50 family.
Choose the exterior color after identifying the version
The two linked offers are both titled Black. Within the original offer, the selectable options are Dark Brown, Red-Brown and Black handles; the v2 offer likewise lists Black, Red-brown and Dark-brown grip colors. These are grip choices within the named housing offer, not separate ZDR generations.
For an existing body, retain the complete ZDR50 or ZDR50v2 name when comparing it with the listing. For a new exterior choice, identify that version first and then choose the grip color. This preserves the distinction that the original color introduction and the later EX25 presentation make in two different ways.
