The Z-RAM EX25 uses threaded CO₂ capsules, while the Z-RAM Z-MAG uses non-threaded capsules. Both products name 16 g and 20 g sizes, but that shared gas-weight label does not make the capsules interchangeable. They also belong to different marker families: EX25 is a valve for the specified Umarex HDR50/TR50 body-kit applications; Z-MAG is a magazine frame kit for First Strike FSC, PepperBall TCP and Tiberius T8.1/T9.1.
Read the connection as well as the number
In the EX25 introduction, Z-RAM explicitly names threaded 16 g, 20 g and 25 g capsules. The Z-MAG introduction names its 8 g, 12 g, 16 g and 20 g range; its product description adds the essential connection detail: those are non-threaded capsules.
The number in grams describes the CO₂ amount. Threaded or non-threaded describes the capsule format at the connection. When you compare these two products, retain both pieces of information. Searching only for “20 g CO₂” leaves out the very difference that decides which of these two capsule formats the product accepts.

The two overlapping sizes are still different choices
A 16 g capsule described for EX25 must be the threaded format. A 16 g capsule for Z-MAG must be non-threaded. The same distinction applies at 20 g. The shared weight is useful for identifying the size, but it cannot replace the rest of the product description.
The ranges also have different endpoints. EX25 lists 25 g; Z-MAG's confirmed range ends at 20 g. Conversely, Z-MAG lists 8 g and 12 g, while EX25's listed capsule choices begin at threaded 16 g. The presence of a size in one row does not add it to the other.
Keep the valve and magazine identities attached
EX25 is the solid-steel valve with an integrated Z-Extension. Its extended shape requires the specified Z-RAM Tec9 or ZDR50v2 housing and does not fit the stock Umarex HDR50/TR50 housing. The familiar HDR50/TR50 model name therefore needs the EX25 body-kit context alongside it.
Z-MAG is a different kind of product: a two-piece magazine frame kit. One Z-MAG supports all four listed capsule sizes on First Strike FSC, PepperBall TCP, Tiberius T8.1 and Tiberius T9.1. There is no capsule-size variant to select. Its T8.1/T9.1 grip gap is cosmetic and does not reduce that capsule range.
