Z.68v2 10 g in the First Strike FSC: What the Test Reported

Z-RAM’s 10 g Z.68v2 test reports several energy results from separate FSC configurations. The first stock-barrel case is reported at 32 J; the other figures belong to later, changed test conditions.

Z-RAM Z.68v2 10 g solid-steel projectiles

Z-RAM reports 32 J in the opening First Strike FSC test case using Z.68v2 10 g projectiles, the standard 5-inch barrel, standard magazine and an 8 g CO₂ capsule. Later series in the same film are reported at 45 J, 39 J and 54 J under changed conditions. These are reported total energy readings, not gains of 32–54 J and not a promise that every stock FSC will reproduce them.

What was actually being tested?

The film introduces the 10 g version of Z.68v2 and uses an FSC for the shooting demonstrations. Daniel also names the PepperBall TCP as identical in construction; The First Strike FSC and PepperBall TCP share the same basic platform under different brand names. That relationship does not turn the footage into a separate measured TCP test.

The ammunition identity matters just as much as the marker name. These results concern the 10 g Z.68v2 version, not the separate 8.5 g product and not Z.68s or Z.68v3. The current 10 g listing describes CNC-machined, polished solid steel with an FSR-style D-shaped profile. These are solid-metal projectiles, not paintballs for paintball games.

Why “stock FSC” does not mean every series was unchanged

The title emphasizes a stock FSC, and the presenter describes the results as obtained without tuning. Within the film, however, the barrel and CO₂-magazine arrangements change, and the later demonstrations mention MagMode and lubrication. Read “stock” together with those stated conditions rather than as a label saying that every demonstration uses the same factory configuration.

The first 32 J statement is consequently the clearest answer to the narrow question about the standard 5-inch-barrel, standard-magazine case. The later numbers remain useful evidence of what Z-RAM reported, but they are not independent measurements of the benefit of one part. Several conditions differ across the film; subtracting two headline numbers would not isolate a projectile-only improvement.

A reported reading is not a six-shot average

The video contains successive shots, not just one headline result. The spoken Joule figures are called out during the individual series; the film does not identify them as averages across six shots. It also notes that conditions were very cold without providing a measured ambient temperature.

Those details make the report more informative than a bare “54 J” claim. They keep the ammunition, test setting and kind of result attached to the number. They do not establish a minimum output, an all-weather result or what a different marker would produce.

The two weight options are still separate products

The cards below show the tested 10 g family member and the separate 8.5 g offer. Including both is not a claim that this film compared their performance head to head. If you are identifying the two products before reading a test, the Z.68v2 weight-options guide explains their shared family and distinct listed weights.

This focused introduction describes the 10 g projectile’s stainless-steel construction, rear cup and chamfer. It adds product-design context to the test, rather than a second independent set of measurements.
