The page supplies no separate measured result for each starting version, so the broad compatibility list and the advertised energy should be understood as different pieces of information.
What the valve pin contributes
A valve controls when and how gas enters the shot cycle. Z-RAM associates this pin with extended valve-open time and increased gas volume during that release. In practical terms, the product is directed at gas delivery inside the marker. The valve-pin function is different from increasing the size of the CO₂ supply or adding a separate chamber extension.
The seller also describes the V2 revision as having a changed, shorter geometry and a hexagonal bore. Those are product-design features associated with its gas-flow claim.
The HDS68/TS68 is Umarex’s .68 double-barrel platform using one 12g CO₂ capsule. Gas supply, valve behavior, barrel and projectile all contribute to the shot, so the pin’s potential remains part of that system. Valve behavior can affect gas use as well as energy; a higher output claim does not by itself establish more shots per capsule.
Why the material and finish matter
Z-RAM specifies CNC-machined V2A stainless steel and an ultra-smooth surface. It attributes reduced internal-seal wear and smoother action to that finish. These are useful functional benefits alongside the power claim: the contact surface has a mechanical role even though the part is hidden inside the marker.
The listing also describes the change as reversible and visually unobtrusive. The purchase is a precision pin and its tool, with no additional insert or complete firing bolt named in the delivery list.
CO₂ temperature and the consistency claim
The page’s performance statement explicitly depends on temperature. CO₂ has temperature-sensitive liquid-and-vapor behavior, so its available gas supply changes with conditions. This explains why the seller qualifies the Joule headline and why its separate reduced-cool-down claim should not be read as temperature independence.
Consistency and maximum energy are also different benefits. Smoother valve action concerns how repeatably the mechanism operates, while energy describes the output of a particular shot. Z-RAM does not quantify a shot-to-shot spread for this pin.
PowerKit and Z-Extension have different jobs
The separately offered Z-Extension changes internal chamber volume. Its current listing explicitly includes HDS among the supported model families and supplies the steel extension with an O-ring. It does not replace the HDS PowerKit’s valve pin, and it is not included with that pin.
