Z-RAM describes its steel tuning barrel for the NxWerks Pistelle X-68 as providing a noticeable performance increase, but does not publish an isolated Joule result for this barrel alone. Its concrete specifications are coated stainless steel, a .684 bore of approximately 17.38 mm, and a 22x1.5 attachment thread. The set includes a thread cover and a 10 cm extension; the full-length barrel cover is a separate product.
What the performance statement actually covers
The barrel is offered as a performance component rather than simply a cosmetic shroud. In Z-RAM’s barrel presentation, the steel and aluminum versions are discussed alongside a broader configuration claim of up to 200 J with additional tuning parts. That figure belongs to the wider setup described in the film, not to this barrel by itself. There is no barrel-only test in the available material from which to give a precise gain.
The buyer can still make a useful distinction without a new number: this is the actual projectile-guiding barrel, whereas the separate cover encloses part of its exterior. A cover should not inherit a performance claim made about the barrel underneath it. The listed stainless-steel construction and defined bore/thread dimensions are firmer product characteristics than an assumed output figure.
Steel set and separate cover have different jobs
The supplied thread cover protects the threaded end when the appropriate attachment is not in use. It is not the same item as the longer PLA barrel cover shown below. The full cover is intended for the longer Z-RAM tuning barrel, hiding and protecting the part that would otherwise protrude. The normal-length factory barrel does not need this cover.
The steel set already includes its 10 cm extension. Do not order the same extension again on the assumption that the listing is for a bare barrel only. Keep the IntruBuster generation specific
The current barrel listing also confirms IB68 IntruBuster Gen1. That does not turn the Pistelle X-68 and IntruBuster Gen2 into interchangeable barrel platforms. Their barrels and magazines differ, even though certain chambers and matching threaded attachments have separately confirmed shared compatibility.
The same discipline applies to material: this listing is coated stainless steel. An aluminum version elsewhere in the catalog is a different offer, not a selectable material automatically included here.
