Umarex HDR68/TR68 Part 2: tuning barrel, Z-Extensions and Z-Drum

Welcome to the Z-RAM YouTube channel. Z-RAM is here and today wants to tune the Umarex HDR68/TR68 completely with you—everything that is possible.

In the first part of this video, Z-RAM installed the PowerPin from the PowerKit and cut the hole for the Z-Extension. Today it will install the remaining parts and do a short chronograph test. If you have not seen the first part, it highly recommends watching it. It is linking the first part up here now. The work continues where it left off last time.

Installing the Umarex HDR68/TR68 tuning barrel

Now install the tuning barrel. As you can see, this spring is in here the wrong way around. The end with the multiple windings has to go to the other side.

Then this goes back in here. This corner has to face up into this gap, with this part up here so that there is still space for this to move.

After that, this part goes in, followed by the spring here. Put it back on and tighten all the screws here. Now it is all back together. The barrel needs that movement here.

Two Z-Extensions on the Umarex HDR68/TR68

The hole is back here. Z-RAM has screwed two Z-Extensions together and also secured them with threadlocker. Some threadlocker goes on here as well. This is just to be safe.

This is very high-quality steel. The thread here is very high-quality steel, and it is quite sufficient to screw and glue it together tightly. It is not going to burst out here or anything from the pressure; it is very stable.

The only thing to watch out for is that, after a while, it might come loose due to vibration or something similar. Keep checking whether it is still screwed in tightly. It is firmly in place now. Two Z-Extensions.

Umarex HDR68/TR68 Sniper Extension and remaining barrel assembly

Next, the Sniper Extension is assembled. No—Z-RAM forgot this up here, and it forgot this part. Of course, it makes more sense to put that in before closing it.

Z-RAM has just screwed it back on, put the white part in here and screwed it back together. Now screw this on.

The barrel still has space. The Z-Extension is screwed in. The PowerPin is installed. This has been left out so that all the power is available.

Now the second part of the tuning barrel is screwed on.

Umarex HDR68/TR68 Z-Drum: Z.68s fit, grip and sealing

Next is Z-RAM’s Z-Drum. The metal part was levered out of the original and inserted into the Z-Drum. You need the Z-Drum to fire the pointed Z.68s projectiles. All right. You can shoot the Z.68v2 with the normal drum, but for the Z.68s, you need this drum.

Now Z-RAM will do a few chronograph tests. Then, instead of the Z-Extension, it will simply use the ASA-to-chamber adapter here, which can then be used to mount a bottle.

The capsule is now inserted, and some of those Z.68s projectiles are used.

They fit perfectly here with Z-RAM’s Z-Drum, which is made of slightly softer TPU and gives the whole thing more grip. It seals it perfectly so that the pressure cannot escape in another direction.

Umarex HDR68/TR68 chronograph test and Part 3 preview

Now it is time to take a look at the whole thing on the chronograph. As Z-RAM said, there is a fresh CO₂ capsule in here. The pressure is on. Now it is time to see what kind of results it produces.

That was it. You can find all these parts—the barrel, the Sniper Extension, Z-RAM’s Z-Drum, the extension or the PowerPin—in the Z-RAM shop.

In the next video, Part 3 of this series, Z-RAM will install the ASA-to-chamber adapter and do more chronograph tests.

You will also find an offer in the shop where you can buy all these parts together without having to search around for a long time, except for the marker. There is also an offer where you can buy the whole thing with the bottle, with all the parts together.

That is it for today. Z-RAM thinks the results achieved here are really great. Let Z-RAM know what you think in the comments. Leave a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel so that you do not miss the last part of this series, in which it installs and tests the ASA-to-chamber adapter. From Z-RAM.
