Choose the Dynamic Sports Gear SoftRack 2.0 for its lightweight, flat-pack foam construction; consider the brushed-aluminum stand when you prefer a rigid metal display support. The SoftRack is listed at 160 g and supplied as a three-piece kit. Compare the stands’ own dimensions first, then allow separately for the height of your marker.
SoftRack emphasises a portable, non-scratching support
The SoftRack uses polyethylene foam described as shock-absorbing, non-scratching, waterproof and stain-resistant. Its three parts form one stand and can pack flat again, which is the practical advantage for carrying it in a gear bag rather than leaving a stand permanently assembled.
The stated dimensions are 54 × 12 × 2.5–6 cm unassembled and 54 × 12 × 8–23 cm assembled, in length × width × height order. The separate flat-pack and assembled measurements make it easier to plan both transport and display space.
Aluminum offers a different material and footprint
The other product is a brushed-aluminum marker stand, described for a shelf, workshop or staging area. Its own measurements are 38 cm long, 10.5–13.5 cm wide and 5.5 cm high. That provides a shorter listed footprint than the SoftRack, but does not establish how either stand fits every marker configuration.
The approximately 31 cm height in the aluminum listing includes an example Dangerous Power G5 marker. It is not the height of the empty stand. No marker is supplied with the aluminum stand.
Plan for the whole display rather than one headline measurement
For a shelf, the support footprint and the overall display height answer different questions. Comparing the aluminum example’s 31 cm directly with the SoftRack’s stand height mixes those questions. Account for the actual marker and accessories when deciding the available space.
Neither description provides a tested load limit or model-by-model fit list. Confirm unusual shapes or support requirements before ordering. A display stand is also not secure storage or access control.
Choose for transport or a fixed display
Both products organise and support a marker, with different material and portability priorities. If you want a light stand that packs down, the SoftRack’s published construction directly addresses that need. If you prefer brushed metal for a fixed display, the aluminum option provides that alternative. The right choice depends on whether packing down or a fixed metal support matters more to you.
