Z.68 projectiles for the First Strike FSC and Tiberius T8/T9
Welcome to the Z-RAM YouTube channel. Daniel introduces the Z.68 projectiles, specially developed for the First Strike FSC and the Tiberius T8 or T9.
The pointed projectiles are .68 caliber, weigh 8.5 g and are milled from stainless steel.
The original loading explanation and supplied set
The first projectile is loaded upright or Z-RAM's MagMode is used; the following projectiles are loaded normally. This gives them a slight inclination so they slide into the barrel more easily.
The projectiles are available from one of the Z-RAM shops linked in the video description below. A set contains five projectiles plus one free, because the first projectile is to be loaded upright.
The set also contains lubricating grease and the application and safety instructions shown here. These explain again how the magazine should be loaded.
The stated advantages of pointed stainless-steel projectiles
The advantage of these projectiles is quite clear: because they are made of steel, they do not deform as quickly and simply do not break as quickly.
With copper-nylon mixtures, for example, hitting a wall beside the target or something hard always causes them to burst. They simply break very quickly. That will not happen with these projectiles.
There is also a very clear distinction: these are pointed, and there is currently nothing like them for the FSC.
The projectiles are impressive under chronograph observation, too. That is what the next test demonstrates.
The standard FSC and the stated test condition
First, the weapon: this is a standard FSC. The only change made for this presentation was turning the velocity screw down to the stop.
An export valve for the FSC will also be available soon, but that will be shown in another video.
The video now moves to the chronograph to see what speeds these projectiles can reach.
Five shots and a maximum of 319 FPS
At the chronograph, the magazine is the one just loaded. Daniel now activates the capsule and arms the weapon.
The readings are 319 FPS, 272 FPS, 240 FPS, 227 FPS and an unclear final reading. That was five shots, with a maximum of 319 FPS.
The target is inspected. The projectile visible there has penetrated a layer of fabric and the inner lining.
The other projectile is here. It has also penetrated the fabric on the other side. Not a bad result.
The reported energy and impact observations
Back at the workbench, the achieved result is 319 FPS, corresponding to 40 joules.
This is already a great achievement for a round projectile. With Z-RAM's Z.68 projectiles, however, the entire impact energy is concentrated at the front of the tip.
As shown, the projectiles also penetrated several layers of fabric. Round balls cannot do that.
With higher working pressures and longer barrels in the export kit, Z-RAM even reached 74 joules. There will also be a video about this.
Further demonstrations and the original closing warning
Daniel also wants to show how the projectiles behave when fired at hard surfaces such as wood, stone, concrete and so on. Viewers are invited to give a thumbs-up and subscribe so they do not miss anything.
One more point in the video's original warning: 7.5 joules must not be exceeded in Germany. The warning then calls for the marker's velocity screw to be adjusted so that projectiles weighing 8.5 g do not exceed 7 joules. This closing figure differs from the preceding 7.5-joule figure.
